Jake, Lindsey, and I met in the quaint town of Mooresville, Alabama on a beautiful Wednesday evening to take some updated photos to use to decorate their new home together! These two cuties have been dating since Lindsey was 14 years old and are still going strong. However, Lindsey has been in my life since she was in sixth grade as she and my cousin have been inseparable best friends since. You know, long enough for me to poke fun at their young antics and Halloween outfits. 😉 I kid! I kid!
Lindsey and Jake have already accomplished so much together even at their young age – high school, college, jobs, and now a home – and they still have that tender love and great sense of humor! They pick at each other & have fun while being a supportive partner along the way. Just look at the way Jake looks at his girl after all these years! It makes my heart melt a little more with each image.
Lindsey’s dress was the total inspiration of this shoot. The historic textured walls on the Mooresville Union Church were the perfect complement for their outfits. Who doesn’t love the charm of the stucco covered brick?!
We were lucky enough to catch the blooms on these beautiful dogwood trees in this open field! Mooresville, you are stealing my photography driven heart!
Right before the sunset, we took a ride over to Wheeler Wildlife Refuge for a few shots on the Tennessee River. I swear, I could photograph every session on the water and be in heaven. There is something so calming and romantic about the water, and it just soothes the soul!
As we were leaving, the sun went just below the horizon producing an incredible cotton candy colored sky. We couldn’t help ourselves – we pulled the car over, got in the field, and snapped a few of my favorite images of the day! Totally worth it!
