Christ Centered
Those are the two words to describe Mary Alan and Adam Abernathy. In our very first email correspondence two years ago, Mary Alan eloquently communicated the importance of her faith. She elaborated on her love for the Lord’s light! I immediately felt a connection with her, because I too feel most connected to God as the sun reaches the horizon.
Throughout the uncertainty of 2020, she carried on with grace. Less than one month from their original wedding date, the world shut down due to COVID. God had a different plan, and it proved to be perfect. Mary Alan and Adam proceeded declare their covenant of marriage on their original wedding date (which was on her birthday, I might add) during a private ceremony and planned a celebration with friends and family on their one year anniversary. During that year, these two welcomed sweet baby Walt into the world! What a blessing!
Now here they are in 2021 with a baby in tow. Y’all know how difficult wedding planning can be – try adding a newborn to the mix! As a bystander documenting their lives through their engagement session, becoming a family of three, buying a house, and planning two weddings, I am amazed. Truly! Adam is a supportive husband, a tenacious father, and a hardworking provider for his family, and even in the hard seasons, Mary Alan turns to God for guidance and never loses site on what’s truly important. I’ve heard it. I’ve seen it.
Their foundation is unshakeable.
