Casey and Ben were married at the scenic and classic wedding venue, Burritt on the Mountain, located at the top of Monte Sano Mountain. The two of them exchanged vows and rings at The View on a sunny day with miles of Huntsville shining in the horizon. Even though the couple attended Auburn University, I found Casey’s vows relatable to many couples in Huntsville which is highly populated with engineers. During her vows she elaborated on where she first met Ben – in Thermodynamics. And who would have guessed this would become her favorite class! 😉
I had been looking forward to this wedding day after photographing their incredible engagement session in Gulf Shores. (You can check out their engagement story which is published on The Knot’s HowTheyAsked.) We were blown away during the engagement session with the most beautiful sunset when showers were expected, and on their wedding day we got just as lucky.
After the ceremony we took a few minutes to take newly-wed photos during golden hour – My Absolute Favorite Part of the Day!
The sky lit up with the most beautiful golden light which perfectly highlighted the backdrop. During this designated portrait time, it is one of the rare moments of the wedding day that the bride and groom have alone. Bask in it! Embrace! Kiss! Enjoy this time together! I promise these will be some of your favorite images of the day.

Kris Clark Designs did a stunning job on the all florals and the reception & ceremony set up!
She is able to take your vision, and turns it into an even better reality. Because of her beautiful artistry, I recommend her to anyone getting married!
Because Casey and Ben enjoy running and cycling together, the bicycle details personalized their wedding.
Finally, it’s officially forever!
This historic, grey-textured museum was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s timeless portraits.
Casey – You are such a beautiful bride!
What a fun father-daughter dance!
And the sweetest mother-son dance.
Congratulations, you two!
