Ready for a full circle moment?
Years ago when I first entered the wedding world, I set up a booth at the Celebrations Bridal Event held in the Von Braun Center hosted by Modern Brides. Jacki, the owner and designer at Salt + Paperie, was the first vendor to walk up and chat with me. As an introvert I was feeling like the new kid on the block, and to be honest I was quite intimated by the seasoned wedding vendors. I have always felt gratitude towards Jacki for her warm welcome to the wedding industry!
Years later I reached out and hired her design company, Made by Jacki Gil, to create my business logo! The process was seamless, and the logo turned out perfectly.
So… Obviously, I’ve been a fan of Jacki’s for years and was elated to receive an inquiry from her about photographing her family!
Playing under the trees as a Family of Four
As expected from a designer, on the day of our session this family of four arrived perfectly dress and adorable from head to toe. We literally frolicked through the flowering trees and played! The wind graced us with its presence which made for some cute windswept hair and flowing dresses. How perfect for two little girls!
With smiles that light up their faces, Gemma and Pippa are two peas in a pod! I watched Pippa try to stand, with wobbly legs, and reach for her older sister with admiration. Gemma’s natural reaction was to steady her with a reassuring embrace. Completely melted my heart! Their sisterly bond already has strong roots. Happy I got the opportunity to capture it!
Girls Outfits: Little Cotton Shoppe

Jacki gave me full range in picking the location for their family session. Because the wind was over powering at the first spot we had in mind, I made a last minute decision to cross over University Drive and make a stop in Research Park. Dang, I’m happy it was windy that day! Couldn’t have planned the location and light any better than this!
