Dusty Blue Harvest Hollow Wedding | Huntsville Alabama Wedding Photography
There is not enough room on this blog to share all the stories and highlights from Elyse + Garrett’s Harvest Hollow wedding. The first time we met was during their engagement session back in January. (Our initial consultation was on the phone since they both live out of state). While the three of us spent time together at the Madison Nature Trail, I heard about their love for Star Wars and super hero movies, how she asked him out for their first date to play paint ball (HOW COOL!), and the surprise proposal Garrett planned in Elyse’s grandparents’ backyard. The two of them danced (and Elyse sang a little) down the trails while I snapped away. It was obvious to me that these two were made for each other!
Let me tell you, this bride did not miss a single beat when it comes to wedding details!
So many personal touches throughout the day, and Harvest Hollow was the perfect canvas to create her vision. Dusty blue and sage color scheme with an organic vibe – I am in love!
All week the forecast called for rain! My photog heart was a little broken (because who doesn’t love a gorgeous sunset) while Elyse and I prepared for rainy photo-ops. Thank God for Pinterest, am I right? Even though I had rain gear and boots packed, we were blessed with sunshine all day! It was perfect. (Don’t miss the golden hour portraits towards the end of the blog post).
Elyse’s “something blue” was her grandmothers ring. How beautiful!
She was the most joyful bride and had such supportive (and stunning) bridesmaids. This group of ladies were joking and laughing all day. My camera loved it!
Such a sweet moment between Elyse and her mom, Jayne!
The first, first look – love, love, love!
Ekk, the sweetest first look with Elyse’s father, David! Her bridesmaids were sneaking a peek from above on the balcony.
Finally, Garrett’s turn! <3
Elyse gifted Garrett three notebooks full of journal entries and prayers that she’s been writing since they first started dating.
Y’all! All. The. Tears.
Any Pride & Prejudice (2005 version) movie fans reading this blog?
Remember the scene when Mr. Darcy walks to Elizabeth Bennet in the field at the end of the movie?
Yep, that’s exactly what this looked like IN REAL LIFE!
(P.S. Elyse walked down the aisle to one of the songs from the movie.)
Elyse and her father danced to Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight” which was sang by her brother, Ford.
The biggest thank you and congratulations to you guys, Mr. and Mrs. Perry!!
I’m in love with your Harvest Hollow Wedding!
