A lovely Burritt on the Mountain wedding!! Molly and Caleb tied the knot and celebrated their union at Burritt on the Mountain (Baron Bluff) in Huntsville, AL and gee whiz, let me tell you, it was one I soon will not forget. Every gesture and detail held so much grace. There is a kindness about these two young souls and their families that is not only heard, but also felt. It was contagious. The mother-of-the-bride, Donna, greeted me with a smile and the sweetest words of encouragement as soon as we met. I absolutely loved being surrounded by the generosity on their wedding day!
All week leading up to Molly & Caleb’s wedding day the forecast predicted rain throughout the day, so I packed and prepared with all the typical rain gear for wedding days. Luckily there was only a light sprinkle early in the day. It was partly cloudy and perfect on this beautiful June day! We took advantage of the weather and used the gorgeous landscape as a backdrop for photos.
We were blessed with this glowing, golden light about an hour before sunset. The absolute best time to take photos! (IMO) The light wrapped around the bride and groom projecting a beautiful warm glow on their skins. Brides – if you are currently planning a wedding, remember to save 20-30 minutes before sunset for portraits. Worth it!
The bride and groom chose to do a Ring Warming before the ceremony. As their guests signed the guest book, each person had the opportunity to hold the rings for a moment and make a silent wish.
Caleb held her close while dancing to “Northern Sky” by Nick Drake.
Molly and Caleb cut their cake to “This Time Tomorrow” by one of my favorite bands – The Kinks! Their reception mix tape is pretty much the best!
To my surprise Molly’s father walked her down the aisle, gave her away, and officiated the wedding. Jim gave the sweetest speech about Molly’s early debut into the world and how, first and foremost, it is important to LOVE. Not going to lie – I did shed a tear or two. Where this man really showed out was on the dance floor! I was in shock and awe during their Father-Daughter dance.
Take a peek for yourself to fully understand!
A classic Burritt on the Mountain Wedding perfect every time!
