Their beautiful day was focused on the covenant they were making with the Lord.
When I think of Lauren and Dennis’s Baron Bluff wedding day, the first thought that comes to mind is God-centered!
I was in awe at the number of people who took the initiative to actively be a part of this union – something as simple as tidying up the room, making phone calls, decorating, etc. to make the day run as seamlessly as possible.
Dennis chose to wait to see his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle. However, they both wanted to have a private prayer without seeing each other before the ceremony. No matter what hurdle popped into the timeline (don’t worry – we didn’t miss a thing), the private prayer was the one thing they both vocalized that couldn’t be missed! After I positioned Dennis to wait for Lauren, the wedding day jitters were obvious. As Lauren walked up, she was all smiles. She knew her future husband was just on the other side of the corner! Right when Lauren reached for his hand and he held hers, gently. Without haste Dennis led them in prayer. In this moment his nerves calmed and voice steadied. At that moment they remembered God is in control!
The bride brought two mannequins to displayed her own and her mother’s beautiful wedding dresses!
What a lovely detail!
A few moments after donning her wedding gown, Lauren shared a first look with her bridesmaids.
The excitement in this room was contagious!
Pure joy on all their faces!
Those little flower girls have BIG personalities! Adorable, fun, and not shy around the camera.
I can always count on the guys to have a little fun with portraits!
Such a proud moment between father and son minutes before the ceremony began.
How cute are the ring bearer and bible bearer?! <3
Lauren and Dennis were lucky enough to have two pastors officiating their wedding: Reverend Dennis Tayler, Sr., Dennis’ father, and Pastor Terrell Harris, Jr. who pastors Lauren’s home church and administered their pre-marital counseling.
During the end of their ceremony, Lauren and Dennis jumped the broom! Have to admit – I got quite emotional! There just weren’t enough tissues in my pocket as Pastor Harris explained and honored the African American tradition.
Noel from Burritt on the Mountain walked in on the newly weds relaxing on the couch right after their ceremony. The event coordinator grabbed my attention and requested that I steal this moment with my camera. So glad she did, because how sweet are these two in their natural state!
Everything ran so smoothly because of all of their hard work!
